Volunteer Opportunities

  • Volunteer Coordinator/Committee:  recruits and coordinates volunteers for the day of the event to manage registration, food and beverage tables, chair massage people, etc. Handles volunteers for goodie bag assembly, bike setup, day of event setup, etc. Website will have a link for volunteer signup for day of the event help.  Will get volunteers through registration site sign up as well.
  • Silent Auction Coordinator/Committee:  puts together a committee to solicit items, coordinate setup and run the silent auction day of the event
  • Vendor Fair Coordinator/Committee:  selects quality vendors (8-10 or so different vendors) to setup day of or before the event to sell their wares.  20% goes to the event.
  • Publicity and Social Media Coordinator/Rider recruitment Committee:  works to get press opportunities both print and live with the assistance of Canale Communications (Clearity PR agency).  Works on rider recruitment, distributes postcards to gyms, gyn/onc offices, around town to get participants/survivors; works with corporations to form corporate teams
  • Sponsorship Coordinator/Donated Items Committee:  works to get sponsors for the event, donated items for goodie bags, donated food and beverage items for day of the event
  • Audio Visual/Media Coordinator/Event Day Content Committee:  works to get sound system coordinated/donated if possible for day of event; works on photographer and video for day of event; works to get speakers for day of event and solicit organizations to have awareness info at event.
  • Special Events Coordinator/Committee: work with Bay Club Redwood Shores liaison, Robin McDonald coordinating September kickoff/awareness event at Club.  Schedule days and times for information tables, happy hour event, registration tables, on different days and times of the month to create a buzz among the membership for the November Wheel to Survive event.
